How do I apply for home repair assistance?
When applications are open, a homeowner completes the application on our website. RTCFL staff contacts homeowners if and when they qualify for help and when funding becomes available.
I need an emergency home repair, how can I get help?
Rebuilding Together of Central Florida does not provide emergency home repair assistance. Contact your local government office or homeowner's insurance company for help.
I lease/rent my home. Do I qualify for help?
No. Only owner-occupied homes qualify.
How long does it take to get help?
Individual experiences vary widely based on your home's needs, location, and our funding availability.
Why are the repairs free?
Everyone needs help sometime. Often, homeowners insurance doesn't cover the repairs needed. By providing repairs for free, we help to prevent displacement from affordable homes and improve the health and safety of our neighbors.
How can I donate materials to you?
RTCFL is temporarily unable to accept home repair and building materials with limited exceptions. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Can I volunteer with my company?
Due to social distancing guidelines, group voluteer projects are extermly limited in size and capacity. Please email email@example.com for more information on volunteering as a company.
I am skilled in construction and want to help. How can I get involved?
Rebuilding Together is always looking for skilled construction workers or contractors to help with our repairs. If you have proven home repair experience please email firstname.lastname@example.org to hear about current and upcoming projects for skilled volunteers.
I am skilled in other areas then contruction that may be useful to your organization. How can I get involved?
If you have a skill you would like to share, email email@example.com and tell us about yourself! We are currently looking for those who are skilled in photography, web design, blogging/writing, content creation, accounting, and development.
Do you take in-kind donations?
