Frequently asked questions

I have already applied, when will I recieve repairs?

If you have recenlty applied then your application is on file and currently going through a prequalification process. You will be receiving correspondence with our “next steps” within the next 60 days!

I was not eligible to apply or I missed the application deadline.

Applications for more programs with additional service areas will re-open in 2021. In the meantime, continue checking our website for updates. There are a lot of reasons why someone would be ineligible for our services. Some of the most common reasons being: Income, Location, Homeownership etc. Continue to check back for future programs as eligibility requirements are subject to change and vary by program.

I am in need of immediate assistance or emergency repairs

Rebuilding Together of Central Florida does not offer emergency home repair. For a list of resources visit www.rebuildingtogethercfl.org/resources. For immediate assitance, please contact United Way by dialing 2-1-1.

Applications for Home Repair Assistance are Closed

Thank you for your interest in home repair assistance from Rebuilding Together of Central Florida. Applications for home repair assistance are currently closed as of April 30, 2021. RTCFL Program Eligibility

If you...

  • Are a resident of Orange or Seminole County Florida

  • Live in and own your home

  • Do not own other residential properties

  • Are up to date on your taxes and mortgage

  • Household income is at or below 120% Area Median Income

...You may qualify for repair, assessment, or education help. Some programs require additional requirements.

RTCFL Programs

RTCFL provides home repair at no cost to neighbors in need.

Raise the Roof – Provides roof repairs and replacements, as well as repairs caused by roof damage.  

Safe at Home – Provides health and safety repairs and aging in place modifications. 

Ready to [Re]Build- Launching summer 2021, Ready to [Re]Build is RTCFL’s NEW education initiative.

If you are eligible to apply based on your answers, you will be forwarded to the application. If you are not eligible to apply, you will be redirected to resources that may be able to help.

If you complete an application, you will hear from our Programs team about next steps. Those who are ineligible may be eligible for future programs and can check this page for updates.
